ANOTHER SEMINARIAN FROM OUR PARISH!

Ryan ScavnickyI always believed that praying for vocations before Mass and the enshrinement of the Elijah cup in your homes over the years would bear fruit for the church from our parish! Ryan Scavnicky, son of Louis and Stephanie Scavnicky, will be joining Tyler Randolph next year to begin his priestly formation!

I can not tell you how happy I am for Ryan and his desire to follow Christ our Good Shepherd!

Ryan has been an integral part of our parish life as an Altar Server since he was in the third grade. He has grown in his faith and love of the Eucharist by staying close to the Lord in this ministry. During the pandemic, Ryan made himself available for the filming of Sunday Masses for nearly a year. He always said yes to whatever event we were celebrating and did so with great reverence.

As a member of 412Youth, he participated in the parish, regional, and diocesan programs growing in faith alongside his peers. Youth ministry and love of baseball led him to successfully attend Franciscan University in Steubenville as a student-athlete for two years!

While at Franciscan the call to priesthood grew stronger, and he decided to move forward and make his application to the Diocese of Greensburg to begin priestly formation. Ryan will begin his wonderful journey this summer as he enters Saint Charles Seminary in Wynnewood, Pa. to participate in the propaedeutic program which is a spiritual preparation year for new seminarians.

Please keep Ryan Scavnicky and Tyler Randolph, our two seminarians, in your daily prayers as they continue to discern the priestly vocation and grow in the love of Christ and His church!!!

NOTE: We will be making vocational prayer cards for you to remember them in thought and prayer!
