Our church is blessed to have gifted singers and skillful instrumentalists, both professional and lay musicians, who participate in our ministry week after week. It is our goal to present music that glorifies, edifies, and ministers to the saints who worship with us.

Parishioners who express an interest in praising God through music are warmly invited to join the music ministry to enhance our liturgical celebrations!  We offer several ministries that can accommodate different talents. Please contact Bridget Deveney, Director of Music Ministry, to join any of our music ministries.

Cantors

Cantors lead the congregation in song at all liturgies. The ministry is open to youth and adults who exhibit a strong and pleasant voice. An audition and willingness to practice and learn music on your own are required.

Parish Choir

The Parish Choir provides musical leadership primarily at the 10 a.m. Sunday Mass as well as other liturgies throughout the year.  Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.  No prior experience or ability to read music is necessary!

Instrumentalists

Complementing the Parish Choir, the parish is blessed to have instrumentalists that add a distinct “voice” to the liturgy.  The instrumentalists primarily accompany the 10 a.m. Sunday Mass, but you may play at any Mass you would like. If you have played a musical instrument in the past, this is a good way to get back into playing! We especially have a need for brass, woodwind, and string players.

Summer Choir

If you enjoy singing (or playing an instrument) but do not have the time to commit to the weekly rehearsal and schedule of the Parish Choir, consider being a part of the Summer Choir!  This is a more informal ensemble, participating in various weekend liturgies throughout the summer months.  There is no midweek rehearsal, just a rehearsal before Mass.  The choral repertoire is generally easier and is a good way to give choral singing a try!

Handbell Choir

The Handbell Choir adds a unique dimension to the liturgy. The parish is blessed to have a beautiful set of Schulmerich Handbells.  Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m.

Funeral Choir

The Funeral Choir provides much consolation for the families of the departed for all Funeral Masses celebrated at our parish. The Choir is open to all and gathers in the front pews of the St. Joseph side of the Church during each funeral Mass.  There are no rehearsals or commitments.

Children’s Choir

Our Children’s Choir program is under development. Please check back for more information.
