Important announcement from Bishop Larry J. Kulick:

It is no secret that we are in a time of a diminishing number of ordained clergy, as well as a shifting, aging, and declining demographic reality in many parts of our Diocese. Without the support of our International Priest Missionaries, we would truly be in a more critical situation. Even with their assistance, and in order to maintain the pastoral care of as many of our parishes as possible, it is necessary to make clergy assignments that provide for the ongoing pastoral needs of all 78 parishes in the Diocese of Greenburg.

As of Thursday, August 31, 2023, Father Louiegene Valdez will be assigned to the parishes of Immaculate Conception and Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton as a Parochial Vicar. Father Louiegene is one of our new International Priests from the Diocese of Bangued. Father John Moineau will remain as your pastor.

As we move forward into the future, I am asking all of you, the people and staffs and your Pastoral and Finance Councils to embrace Fr. Louiegene with a spirit of collaboration guided by the Holy Spirit.

Please pray for all of our priests and people as we move forward to embrace the future with hope and vitality. Please be assured of my prayers for each of you and for your parish community.

In Christ,
Bishop Larry J. Kulick
