Diocese of Greensburg Synod

Dear parishioners,

The Diocese of Greensburg is undertaking a massive effort to listen to a broad range of people throughout our faith community about the pastoral connectivity of our Church. Bishop Larry J. Kulick asks that you prayerfully consider taking the “Synod Survey” by clicking on the link below.

Take the Survey!

A synod is a gathering of church leaders, both clergy and laity. In April 2021, Pope Francis initiated a synodal journey of the whole People of God, to take place in individual Dioceses in 2022 and culminating in October 2023 in the Assembly of the Synod of Bishops in Rome.

The synodal journey here in the Diocese of Greensburg begins with the survey and will be followed by a series of both in-person and virtual town hall listening sessions, at which Bishop Kulick will be present.

Everyone is welcome to attend a town hall listening session. They are open to all members of the community, including our young people. Each will begin with a short prayer service in the church, then move into small group break-out sessions in the social hall of each parish. It is important to note that break-out sessions are being facilitated by volunteers and faith formation/youth ministry staff members from area parishes who will work to engage parishioners of all ages in the discussions.
